Casting on…

Phew! I feel like I’ve pretty much spent the last two weeks on the train! I think I clocked up over 20 hours!
Sadly I think only 4 of those hours were spent knitting.

On my train home for Norwich I was sat with someone who I didn’t know, who insisted on talking to me and those around me. I managed to escape most of it by listening to my iPod but I didn’t want to fuel further talking by doing something out of the ordinary like knitting in public! I thought I could lose them when I switched trains but sadly not, they also switched, and managed to track me down… I think they received a most unpleasant look, that may have implied death was imminent, as they stopped trying to talk to me on the final leg.

The day after I got home from my parents I headed to Birmingham for a convention, I think I got about an hours knitting done but I was with friends so was distracted. There was definitely no time during the convention for knitting, or, if there was, I stupidly left my knitting in my room! On the way home I was way to tired.

I’ve started my April Self Imposed Sock Club sock. It’s a basic ribbed sock, I got it started a little late but if I crack on I should finish them. I got some sock yarn in a swap I take part in on Ravelry I think I might use it to try some toe ups!

Other knitting news, I’m still working on my Clapotis but it’s gotten much warmer so I’m not feeling the shawl knitting. I’ve finished the back of a top, but again, with the hot weather, thick wool isn’t what I want to be knitting with.

Podcast news! The pilot is all done! But the website’s not quite ready. I’ll try and get that sorted this week and give you the link as soon as! I’m now in the process of recording and editing the first full episode but it could still be a week or two before that’s online, I had a lot of help with the pilot, now I’m on my own!

Now I have some tea and cake calling me.
