I wrote this post out and hit publish and it took me back to an empty New Post page! Luckly I could skip back a few pages and get it phew!...
Wow, I’m not sure where the time has gone since my last post. I feel as though I should have lots to write but sadly my time has been taken up by work and trying to sleep (note: Trying). I can tell you this, I didn’t finish my April socks in time, I think they where a little boring for a sock challenge so they will become a travel sock and should be done before the end of the weekend
So you may be wondering which sock I picked for May! Well, I pick a few socks for may, none of which I wanted to do and the ones I did want to do I found an issue or two with the patterns, be it charts, or that they were actually in German or the pattern wasn’t free ( and I don’t want to spend lots of money on sock patterns I might not knit again…). So it’s back to the drawing bourd with the self imposed sock club, I’m going to use May to finish off a few pairs of shocks I already have on the go and try to catch up again in June.
I’ve joined another KAL called 11in11. You have 11 months to knit 11 neck things, Scarf, Cowl, Shawl, Necklace, etc. I’ve finished one, my Squishy Cowl. It was finished this year and so i’ve been told that it counts! I’m currently knitting number two, Baktus, I was unsure about this one to begin with, normaly I get bored with kniting garter stitch, but it’s made for a very good TV knit.
I’m hoping that my long weekend back at home #3* (Hadfield) brings plenty of knitting time. My train is at 6:30 am (ugh) which should get me back for the coffee morning run by my home church. I estimate I’ll get bout 3 hours of knitting on the train there, I’ll be going to the knitting group on Thursday evening (Yay!) and all being well me and a friend are going to the Black Sheep Yarn sale on Sat which should also give me a bit of kntitting time in the car. I’ve been very good and writen myself a list of what I need to buy from the sale and I’m going to force myself not to buy anything that isn’t on the list… but seeing as number three on the list just says Sock Yarn I could still have a bit of a space issue when bring it all back to Newcastle.
I’ll fill you in with pictures and links to what I buy and make over the weekend when I’m back. Have a good week!
